Tubage
Tubage is a technique which, although very widespread in the first decades of the twentieth century in France, was lost during the Second World War. In fact, the exact composition of materials used to achieve those truly unique effects remains unknown. Benvenuto has dedicated years of experimentation and research in its laboratories to recreating the tubage technique, with outstanding results.
A thin cord is painted with paste to frame the shapes, between which an enamel - usually transparent - is applied. The entire frame is then baked in an oven at a high heat, around 650°C.
